About Us
The North Bay Museum has been preserving and sharing North Bay’s history since 1973 and is located in downtown North Bay within the historic Canadian Pacific Railway Station. Built in 1903, the station was restored in 2004 to house the museum.
With a mandate to preserve North Bay’s history and inspire the discovery of the people and places of North Bay’s past and present, the North Bay Museum offers exhibits and programs that cater to visitors of all ages
In addition to regular programming and exhibitions, the museum galleries are available to rent for special events or corporate functions and provide a great view of both Lake Nipissing and downtown North Bay.
The North Bay Museum is part of Heritage North Bay. Heritage North Bay (legal name North Bay Area Museum Society) is a not for profit organization composed of the North Bay Museum, North Bay Heritage Gardeners, and North Bay Heritage Railway & Carousel. Heritage North Bay oversees care of the Community Waterfront Park while also overseeing the component organizations.
